We are Island Fusion Agro Forestry Limited (IFAFL), a proudly homegrown enterprise from East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea. Established in 2023, our company was founded with the core purpose of uplifting rural communities by promoting equitable participation in the Balsa wood industry. IFAFL serves as a transformative link between smallholder farmers and global markets. With 98% of Balsa production coming from rural cultivators, our goal is to ensure they receive their fair share of the industry’s value. As a responsible business, we operate under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework, aligning our operations with government strategies, local clan structures, and private sector standards. Our focus lies in processing both dressed and rough sawn balsa wood, ensuring that Papua New Guinea’s unique natural resources are presented to the world with integrity and value addition. We recognize that sustainable forestry and agro-based industries can be powerful drivers of development when managed transparently and inclusively.
